A lot of my books are sited in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. If you've never visited, you are so missing out! This city has an amazing arts, entertainment and dining scene. Below are links to some of my favorite places in town. (Many of which have shown up in my books.)

610 Magnolia ("Top Chef" contestant Edward Lee's restaurant.)
Actors Theatre ("A Christmas Carol" is an annual event for us.)
Bardstown Road (A great place to be a teenager or collegian.)
Bernheim Forest (Where my husband and I had our first date.)
The Brown Hotel (So, so beautiful.)
Bluegrass Brewing Company (If it's Christmas, order the mead.)
Cafe Lou Lou (Owned by the coolest people EVER.)
Carmichael's Bookstore
(Independent bookseller. 'Nuff said.)
Cherry Bomb (Such cool stuff.)
The Comfy Cow (Order the Bourbon Ball ice cream. Trust me.)
Crescent Hill (One of my three fave neighborhoods.)
Dot Fox (More cool stuff.)
Frankfort Avenue (A great place to hang out. And eat. And shop.)
Glassworks (Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff.)
Havana Rumba (Best Cubano in town.)
The Highlands (Another fave neighborhood.)

(Order the lamb chops and warm brie salad.)
Le Relais
(The ambience is just wonderful. So is the food.)
Louisville Ballet (Baryshnikov danced with them. Twice! I was there!)
Louisville Science Center (Always something interesting.)
Lynn's Paradise Cafe (Order the hot brown. And laugh at the lamps.)
Margaret's Consignment & Collectibles (Yet more cool stuff.)
Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center (Lots of great shops.)
Mojito Tapas (I order the Cuban punch. I'm such a rebel.)
The Nitty-Gritty (Again with the cool stuff.)
Old Louisville (For the lover of Victorian houses.)
The Palace Theater
(Such a beautiful place.)
Plehn's Bakery (I could live here. Really.)
Rainbow Blossom (They were organic before it was cool.)
Regalo (Just an amazing shop.)
Seviche (Fabulous Latin food.)
The Speed Museum (Better than therapy.)
St. James Court (More gorgeous houses.)
21c Museum Hotel (The. Coolest. Place. On. Earth.)
Uptown Cafe (A stalwart. We've loved it for decades.)
Varanese (Classy atmosphere. Great food.)
